Updates, stories, and transparent reporting from Rays of Grace Childrens Orphanage.
Upcoming... Gift's Medical needs being met
Greetings Brothers and sisters.
Lately we have had to make some new accounts and start from scratch because our country had some new strict social media laws causing meta to disable our main accounts.
Right now we should only have 3 instagram accounts and 2 tik tok accounts.
ALL accounts will link to this website at raysofgracechildren.com!
Please do not interact with any fake accounts you see branding our name. We typically use an icon as our profile picture and we never use ai videos.
Expanded upon in our permit update we cannot verify ourselves as an NGO yet because we are waiting on the arrival of our permit from the government officials.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and God Bless you.
Please Pray for the permit to come swiftly and for anyone that took money.
"Our official has called us to go for interviews with around 10 kids for the permit approval at the council. We don’t have help for transport and emergencies while we’re there, and we may spend the whole day." -6/12/26
"We’re done with the interview so we’re waiting for the final results.. things are moving slowly but good enough we paid off and done with the interview so let us pray within a few to receive it." -7/12/26
These are the updates I got from Percy regarding permit status. We are still waiting on the official to bring it but it is better than last time.
Because of the government swearing in a new president at an awkward time the transition period with new officials being sworn in caused our case to be delayed and dismissed. We lost some money due to government corruption but we are back on course to receive our NGO permit.
Our evolution from Grassroots to official Shelter is exciting and I hope this permit will bring much success and glory to God through all of our work.
Please Pray for the permit to come swiftly and for anyone that took money.
We will be posting some financial breakdowns soon, but till then we have a bit of a rent crisis on top of trying to keep up with our
borehole subscription for fresh clean water for the children.
Rent right now is 200 dollars a month and we are a bit short. Our landlord has been patient but he also needs to feed his family.
If you could donate even $5 or $10 together it would help us so much.
Your donation will be allocated to the most urgent thing.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
Please Pray for our self sufficiency so that we may decrease our burden on everyone.
Dear family! I wanted to share a situation with you, about one of the children at our orphanage named Gift.
Gift is a young girl living with a disability that affects her mobility and strength. She currently has no wheelchair, so she spends most of her days lying on a mat.
She also struggles with low weight and frequent illness, partly because of no family support.
Her mother is a single parent with no source of income or family support.
Right now, Gift’s needs are:
Wheelchair – to give her mobility and dignity
Nutritious food – to help her gain weight and strength
Medication and medical assessment – to address her condition and ongoing symptoms
Basic hygiene supplies – soap, pads, and clean water access.
Any support toward these needs would directly improve Gift’s daily life and give her mother some relief.
I’ve shared photos and videos, and our NGO document in our social media for transparency.
If you’d like, I can also share medical reports once we get her assessed at the health center.
Even a small contribution helps. If you’re unable to give financially, sharing this with someone who can would mean the world to us.
With gratitude,
Percy Dhirivaawa

Thank you for standing with us and for caring about children like Gift.
"Things are tough here brother and if we can receive only $20 at least for this time, could mean the world to us now because it can help to buy some kilograms of posho or rice to fix for children. but we have not the means to get it 😔🙌"
Please Pray for our food security and success in obtaining it for our children.
Dear Brothers and sisters, I’m writing to update you on our
water situation at the orphanage.
Since our borehole subscription has run out, and we can’t access clean water
anymore. Right now we’re using water from a nearby pond for cooking and drinking.
It’s not safe, several kids have started showing signs of waterborne illness
like stomach pain and diarrhea. We do attempt to filter and boil but
the water still comes out fairly dirty.
To keep the children healthy, we need $55 to reconnect to a clean water
source for the home. This will cover daily water for cooking,
and general cleanliness.
Thank you for reading this and for always standing with us.
We’re praying for a quick solution.
“They even asked for 80% which is $40 of the money to be
staying using the water but we couldn’t get it so we’re really
suffering with water staff, now we have to walk a long distance looking for
water it’s now making one and a half weeks but we can’t really manage it’s a
long distance so we’re facing a hard time now. We are really praying 😔🙏🙌” - Percy
Please Pray for our water and success in obtaining it for our children.
Xristos Anesti! Our easter celebration was very successful.
We have gone into a small amount of debt to afford the clothes on time but we are slowly making our way out of it thanks to our generous donors like Alexandru Florescu and Leonardo Flores.
Thank you everyone and we will keep praying for more support.
Please Pray for our food and success in caring for our children.
Christ has risen! Our Pascha celebration budget is out, we want to give the kids a special celebration with a special meal and new clothes.
Brothers and sisters let us join hands to look for that help in Christ. It will mean the world to kids on Easter Day

We have maize and bean farming projects.
This supports us in feeding kids and selling some to get funds for other necessities such as paying school tuition, buying clothes, paying rent and labour.
We also have tree plantation projects (Mainly Eucalyptus) we have hope that it will help us in future plans for selling to get charity funds and helping us in building our home.
We specialize in subsistence farming which is a dominant method focusing on growing food crops for family consumption with the surplus sold for income
Please Pray for our food security and success in feeding our children.
We have officially gotten certification for our Orphanage! Since there are already many organizations with the name St Peter's Orphanage Foundation, we had to change our name to Rays of Grace Childrens Orphanage. Hopefully there will be no more confusion, if you have any questions about our name change, please reach out to us through our contact page. As we are now registered as Rays of Grace Childrens Orphanage and we are so excited to continue our work with this new name and certification.
Please Pray for our food security and success in obtaining our donations.
As a charity, we rely on more projects for the success and progress of the charity.
It was a Monday morning, I met a farmer by the names of Mr. Mukose Samuel, by then we were focusing on agriculture only but he introduced us with pig project plan where he explained that pig farming is so far the best project that can easily lift up the living standards of people who are the area.
So we bought his plan that will change our life at the charity.
